Ada Pinho - Technician's Assistant

I came to the clinic originally as a volunteer to obtain some practical experience and about a week into that, Dr. Stewart interviewed me for the Office Manager position and here I am!
I decided to work in the veterinary field because I love animals and always preferred their company. Looking around at the state of things for animals here, much less in other countries, I feel they need as much help as we can give and I want to make as much of a difference as I can. One day, I hope to do occasional volunteer work with animals in 3rd world countries in a similar program to Doctors Without Borders.
I frequently play computer games when I'm not working hard at the clinic, and am currently addicted to World of Warcraft. I also enjoy a monthly games night with a few friends and will be starting swimming lessons soon with another friend. (Nope, never got those in elementary school like everyone else I know!)
I have three cats, two boys; Sketch and Bowser and one girl; Lola. The latter two decided to come home with me from Guildcrest Cat Hospital while Sketch moved to Ontario with me in 2004. The three of them are wonderful with fantastic personalities and I can go on at least 20 min. with anyone who’ll listen. Next up is the wallet photos….

- When trick-or-treating as a kid, was there any kind of candy that you didn't like to get? Never got to go trick-or-treating! Mum bought me my own bag of candy to make up for it =)
- What one thing (modern convenience) could you not live without? Toilet paper.
- What is your favorite season? Spring, everything smells delicious and I can start gardening.
- When you were 6 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? A horse.
- If you could instantly become fluent in another language, what would that language be and why? Japanese, I love the culture, atmosphere and general products of that country…sometimes wish I’d been born there!
- How many languages do you speak? 2, English and Portuguese.
- What is the farthest road trip you have taken? To where and how long was it? To Saskatchewan from Toronto. It took 3 days to get there and I set my personal record of driving for 17 hrs straight.
